Migraine- Is that just a headache ?

“Everyone might say migraine is just a headache, but those who get it to say it is more than a headache”.

Migraine is a type of severe headache affecting a wide population of people especially females. This is also called a sick headache as mostly is associated with other symptoms like nausea, vomiting, inability to do normal chores, and severe excruciating pain in the head.

Let’s define this.  A migraine is a complex neurological disorder that is paroxysmal in nature which means it is acute and of severe intensity and it is recurrent.

Generally, the pain is experienced on one side of the head and it may or may not be affected by other symptoms.

Based on that, there a different type of migraine headache and it occurs in different phases.

  • Sleep disturbances

  •  Sex
  •  Some type of medications like birth control pills
